Born and bred in Johannesburg, I have made Jozi my playground and love this city because it has become part and parcel of who I am. I am deeply patriotic and love being part of a nation that is so deliciously diverse and rich in its culture and traditions. Viva South Africa, viva!

My schooling was divided between Zakariyya Secondary, a public primary school in the south of Joburg, and Wendywood High, a Model C high school in the northern suburbs. School was a real learning experience for me because essentially I got to experience both spectrums of the same coin – that is the public and Model C education systems.
